Usage

First, make sure the ground is soft (forcing into hard dirt or rocks could damage the product). Otherwise, the unique patented design makes it pretty simple. Hold the Lawndog® securely as shown and slowly work the back leg into the lawn at a rear angle (1). Then, pivot forward (2) and continue to push in the remaining legs until secure. (A slightly ‘head-to-tail’ motion will help in denser soils, but avoid bending front-to-back). If you have difficulty inserting the Lawndog®—do not force—simply water the selected area to soften the soil. Recommended distance from sidewalk is 'leash distance', approximately 4 to 5 paces onto your lawn. Lawndog® also looks and works great in mulch beds!

TIP: While you can put the Lawndog® out at any time, a good strategy would be to place it on your lawn as soon as you see the next violation. Removing the deposit and placing the sign near the site virtually guarantees the offending pet owner will see it the next time he or she walks by your lawn.
