Service Areas

Older houses with smaller lots and fences that have been there a while. Quick visits, then on to the next.

Tidy subdivision yards with more slope than the listing photos admitted. We walk all of it anyway.

Solid single-family streets sitting behind a lot of retail. The houses are the half we see.

Flat and open down in the Valley. Nothing hides out there, which is either good news or bad news depending on your dog.

Two Claytons: the high-rises around the business district, and the large lots south of Forsyth.

Tucked between Lindbergh and Tesson Ferry, full of shaded yards that have had the same dog for years.

Out along Watson Road where the old mall used to be. Mid-century lots under a lot of mature tree cover.

French for broken heart. Also what you feel stepping off the patio in the dark. We can do something about one of those.

Behind the mall and well past it. Good fences, flat lots, and dogs who have never once been impressed by us.

Small city, serious about its lawns. The kind of place where the neighbors notice, which is usually why people call.

Hills and tree cover, with yards that run downhill toward the river. Nothing stays where the dog left it.

Our trucks live here. If you're in Fenton you're about as close to the start of the route as anyone gets.

Among the wealthiest addresses in the state, and the yards are sized to match. Same price regardless.

Small, settled and particular about its lawns, which is usually what brings people to us.

Deeper back yards than they look from the street, and gates that have been settling since the Truman administration.

The yards here have names for their sections. We learn them, then we walk all of them.

Everything just off Manchester Road, which we have now driven more times than any person should.

Bungalows on small lots behind a main street that has done well for itself. Fast, tidy visits.

Houses tucked between the office parks and the lake. Smaller lots than you'd guess from the drive in.

Everyone tells you the school district before they tell you the street. Tidy lots and long-time owners.

The biggest place down here that isn't technically a place. No city hall, 36,000 people, a lot of dogs.

Quiet, settled and almost entirely residential, with lots that are bigger than the street view suggests.

Wedged between Clayton and the city line, with smaller lots than either of its neighbors.

Rolling lots with heavy tree cover. Takes longer than it looks and costs the same as anywhere else.

Yards big enough to need a plan. We bring one. The deer leave their own contributions and those stay where they are.

The Loop at one end, a lot of brick and old trees at the other. More yard here than people expect.

Small town squeezed along the Meramec. Close neighbors and a levee everybody has an opinion about.

Old Webster's lots are small and fenced. We scoop both sides of the Turkey Day rivalry and take no position on it.

The biggest yards on our route by a wide margin, at the same price as a quarter acre. That still surprises people.
